Alison J. Forest is an Italian-American filmmaker. A part from her English name, Alison was born and raised in Bologna, Italy, by her mom and grandma. She graduated late in 2010 in Set Design at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna, making her first debut with a short film inspired by Bicycle Thieves by De Sica but with a Bologna style twist. In the same year, she took a filmmaking workshop at the New York Film Academy in which she made three short films. In 2011 she worked as an AD in shorts and feature films. She helped produce an independent feature film shot in 8mm: ''Annunciacion - a triptych'' shot in the streets of New York. Between 2012 - 2018 she lived in New Orleans working on Hollywood sets as an AD or assistant producer. During her free time, she continued to produc music videos and short films like "The Flight of the Bumblebee" (2014), "My wife thinks you're dead" (2015). Both entered at the New Orleans Film Festival. At the end of 2019 Alison moved back to Italy and in 2022 she moved to Rome to work in film production.
