Deborah A. Forte is an award-winning creator and producer of family movies and television programming. Ms. Forte founded Silvertongue Films in 2015. She is best known for Goosebumps, Clifford the Big Red Dog, the Magic School Bus, and His Dark Materials. Ms. Forte is producing Mortal Engines (Universal) with Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween, and a TV adaptation of His Dark Materials with Bad Wolf Productions. She is attached to The 39 Clues and Spirit Animals at Universal and Clifford the Big Red Dog for Paramount. Ms. Forte's productions have earned an Oscar, six Emmys, Webbies and the Humanitas Prize, among other awards. Ms. Forte has created and produced over 500 hours of television programming, including some of the most successful and enduring global children's media franchises. Some of her award-winning shows include Goosebumps, The Magic School Bus, Clifford The Big Red Dog, I Spy, Animorphs, and WordGirl. These are among the longest running and most highly rated shows in children's television, garnering six Emmys. Ms. Forte's feature film credits include: Goosebumps, starring Jack Black, released by Sony Pictures; The Golden Compass, starring Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman, which won an Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects; Tuck Everlasting, The Babysitter's Club, and The Indian in the Cupboard. In addition to being recognized with some of the industry's highest honors, Ms. Forte's productions have been cited for the contributions they have made to society and children's education - garnering top honors from The Annenberg Public Policy Center, The Environmental Protection Agency, The National Hispanic Federation, The National Wildlife Federation and winning the prestigious Humanitas prize.
