Ben Freedman was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and is now primarily based in Bristol. He is a BAFTA winning documentary maker, whose work primarily focuses on social issues such as homelessness; drug and alcohol addiction; and the operations of national services such as the police, emergency services, and the NHS. Recently, he has produced and directed several high-profile food programs for Channel 4 and the BBC, including The Great British Bake Off, The Hairy Bikers' Mediterranean, and Nadiya's Awfully Big Adventure, to be aired in late 2018.
