At age eighteen, while climbing with friends, Marcus fell over one hundred feet breaking and his back in several places. After weeks in the hospital he received the news that he would not regain use of his legs. Two weeks later he walked out of the hospital. This experience became the inspiration for his first feature film, One Fall. In 2008 he formed Compass Entertainment to focus on the development and production of independent, character driven films. In 2010, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) awarded his script for the motion picture, 'One Fall' a place in it's permanent collection. He has been a contributing writer for 'The Wrap' magazine and is a guest lecturer on Entrepreneurship in the Film Industry at Skidmore College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). In 2013 he founded Kid Fears a project designed to teach children to overcome their fears through storytelling. Mr. Fuller serves on the Yale School of Drama Board of Advisors, the Yale University Alumni Board, The Nantucket Theater Institute Board of Directors and the Hyde Museum Board of Trustees.
