Esther Friedman was raised in Bronx, New York, moved to New Jersey to attend Montclair Performing Arts High School. Friedman's one woman show Random Sharp Objects: How I Got the Past out of My Ass is her coming-of-age story that gives an untold perspective about growing up bi-racial. Set in the Bronx and Harlem, New York during the 70's, RSO recounts the turmoil and eccentricities within a multi cultural family. Her parents, a laconic Jewish Dad, and a wise cracking African American mother are stars in this dramedy. Friedman with the help of her late dear friend Jeana Rhinerson created Me Myself and Us TV for the web. These webisodes have been featured on Myspace, FunnyorDie, and Vuze. MMUTV was a finalist in the Independent TV Festival and runner up for the Emmy Broadband and Fox Storyteller Awards. The response to MMUTV has been grand with over 100,000 hits per webisode and a demographic of women between the ages of 25 to 45.
