Nyle Cavazos Garcia, born in Caldwell, Idaho, attended Boise State University under full scholarship, where he founded Small Town Pictures. Upon moving to New York, he worked in production on independent films for Lion's Gate, Good Machine and The Shooting Gallery. Nyle wrote and directed the critically acclaimed short film 'Humidity' and directed the Sundance Film Festival favorite 'The Support Group'. He then relocated to Los Angeles to direct his feature film debut 'Clean', which went on to win a bounty of top awards at various international film festivals, premiered on Starz! Encore and was released worldwide on DVD/PPV/VOD. Nyle continued to write and direct short films such as 'The Dark', 'Bleeding', 'Mary's Journal', 'Houston & 6th' and 'The Man with the Red Right Hand', all of which screened successfully at multiple film festivals and were released collectively as the horror/thriller anthology 'Dark Passenger: Volume 1'. As a screenwriter, Nyle's versatility has proved to be successful, and he has optioned more than a dozen feature film screenplays in a variety of genres. His original horror screenplays 'Tag', 'Blood Pressure', 'The Absence of Light' and 'Olivia's Fingers' all won top screenwriting awards, as did his original sports comedy 'The Fighting Irish', and his original family sci-fi fantasy 'The Zenith'. In 2021, Nyle completed three feature screenplays, the horror/thrillers 'Slasher Flick' and 'Malevolence at Midnight', and the family comedy 'Straight Up, Now Tell Me...', and developed the short horror romantic comedy, 'Last Ride', which he also wrote and plans to direct in 2022.
