Sean Garland

Writer/director Sean Garland has written, directed, DP'ed and edited much of his own work. After kick-starting his career on such films as Jim Sheridan's In The Name of The Father and Neil Jordan's Interview With The Vampire Garland went on to direct numerous film shorts, which include The Wheelhouse (2007 Turner Classic Movies Commendable List) and music videos, including the promo Love Grows Out of Thin Air for renowned electronic composer and Tangerine Dream member Ulrich Schnauss. His two features, hauntology drama Banshee Blacktop; An Irish Ghost Story (2016) and contemporary Western documentary Nokota Heart (2011), which won Best Feature Documentary at the 2011 White Sands International Film Festival in New Mexico and Best Cinematography at the 2011 Arizona International Film Festival, are both available to stream online. Film projects have taken him to American Zoetrope, Stan Winston's legendary Creature Effect Studios in Los Angeles and the Korda Sound Stage at Shepperton Studios, UK. Garland is polishing off a new short and developing his next feature.
