Jill Goldston reigns supreme as the single most prolific and ubiquitous of British bit players, with a remarkably impressive and extensive array of cameos and walk-ons in both film and television alike that not only encompasses over five decades altogether, but also amounts to nearly 2,000 appearances in the two mediums along with equally substantial work in adverts and TV commercials. The extremely cute and tiny brunette was initially a student at the Royal Ballet School in Richmond, England before running away at age fifteen to join a revue company in Butlins. Goldston first began appearing in movies in minor uncredited roles while still in her teens in 1960. Outside of her significant amount of film and television work, Jill has also done a huge volume of work in adverts and TV commercials for such brands as MFI Furniture, Honda, Nike, Lloyds Bank, Halifax, British Airways, Heineken, Woolworths, British Rail, Gala Bingo, Toby Beer, Eastern Airlines, Barclays Bank, Banjo Biscuits, London Transport, Trustee Savings Bank, the Ministry of Transport, and even the British Journal of Sexual Medicine. Goldston in her latter years has mostly done catalog work as well as has modeled for the Dear Deirdre problem column for the newspaper The Sun. Her husband Geoff owns and runs a computer software company while her son James Goldston is a vice president at ABC News in America. In addition, Jill has three grandsons.
