Tina L'hotsky was a personality on the Downtown New York Scene in the late 70's. Her oeuvre was the personification of glamor in a surreal Nightclub backdrop. Mesmerized by 50's glamor and influenced by the Warholian Underground 60's, she translated these themes into her involvement with the New York Avant Garde of the late 70's where nightlife was theater and everyone assumed a persona. She is also an Actress, Writer and Filmmaker. She studied Art and Design at the Cleveland Institute of Art and moved to New York to write and direct films. Her work as an Actress includes starring roles in Alligator Girls go to College by Gary Indiana, an absurdest farce about Circus Freaks, Hollywood and College. She starred alongside Willem Dafoe in Kathryn Bigelow's The Loveless as a Biker Chick; and she played the part of Nadja in Melvie Arslanian's film Stilletto, a moody atmospheric study of murder, revenge and lost identity. She has also appeared in various Music Videos for CBS Records and Warner Brothers and has worked with Mary Lambert and Paul Morrissey. Her published work includes two short novels, Crazy Spanish Girls and Soul Music.
