He grew up in state foster care in Berkesz, Hungary, without a family of his own. At birth, he was given the surname Majoros, and from the age of 18 he was called Békési. His father is of Guinea-Bissau origin. An Arab family wanted to adopt him, but eventually they did not managed to get him, but he got the surname Khaled from them. Since then, he has also met his biological father, who lives in Africa. In Budapest, Barnabás Winkler took care of him, so he gratefully took the man's surname (he uses this in his official documents). The teachers of the György Bessenyei High School in Kisvárda made him enter the competition. From 1989 he attended the College of Theater and Film Arts, where he met his wife, Tünde Murányi. They played the title roles of Tristan and Isolde together. He has also performed in "The Tragedy of Man" in the role of Adam, in "The Attic" as a ferryman, in S.Ö.R., G.Ö.R.C.S. (improvisative experimental comedy based on classic plays), on the Rocky Horror Show. He graduated from the College in 1993. He has been a member of the Vígszínház (Comedy Theater) since 1991 and a freelance actor since 1997. In 1996, he received the Souvenir Award. He mainly plays in the theater, often acting as a Hungarian voice actor for foreign films and TV shows as well.
