Ana Maria Lagasca was born on September 12 in a military-base hospital in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. She grew up speaking three languages; English, Spanish & Italian. Her father was in the U.S. Navy. Her parents met in southern Spain. At eight months old they relocated to Sicily, Italy & later Naples, Italy where she spent her adolescence before moving to the USA. Every summer holiday was spent with her family in Andalucía, Spain. When she was 3 years old, Ana Maria, attended nursery school with the Italian nuns in Sicily and her love for performing began with learning Italian songs for the Christmas recital. She attended Florida International University in Miami, Florida on a Theatre Scholarship & graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She moved to New York City for a short time and then to Los Angeles to pursue her Acting career. She made her film debut starring in a PBS Masterpiece Theatre movie-of-the-week titled Almost A Woman. A true coming-of-age story of one of the most prominent Puerto Rican authors in the U.S., Esmeralda Santiago. She has several guest & co-starring credits on television. She's worked on commercials; voice overs for film, video games, commercials, animation, and translating for foreign projects. She's also lend her voice to a few musical projects. She loves music, writing, dancing and singing. In Los Angeles she attended the famous Musicians Institute as a Vocal Performance student. She taught Yoga since 2001 and is a Mindfulness Teacher/Coach. In 2016 she completed the UCLA Training in Mindfulness Facilitation at the Mindful Awareness Research Center, accredited by the Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior. One of her biggest joys has been teaching Mindfulness at an underserved Elementary School in Georgia.
