Claudia Lehmann was born and raised in West Berlin. At the age of 11 she made her first stage appearance as the First Eumenide in Rudolf Noelte's production of Giraudoux' 'Electra' at Berlin's Renaissance Theater. After graduating from high school she took acting classes with Else Bongers and Maria Körber and studied singing with Prof. Walter Hauck in Berlin. From 1983 to 1991 Claudia Lehmann played various roles, major and minor, at German and Swiss theaters, in classical and modern drama, but also in comedies and children's plays. She repeatedly worked as a director's assistant during that time. In the late 80's Claudia Lehmann turned to camera acting and played in numerous ATV films, series and sitcoms. In recent years she has been known as the German voice of Ellen DeGeneres, Natasha McElhone, Nia Vardalos, Hope Davis, and other international stars. Time permitting, Claudia Lehmann works as a translator from English and Italian for documentaries and journalistic publications and multi-media productions. She is also an experienced MC and presenter. Since the year 2000 Claudia Lehmann has been living in Rome. Besides allowing her to partake in the dolce vita, this has enabled her to speak Italian as a third foreign language besides French and English
