Renato Luigi Liprandi (Turin, December 12, 1949) is an actor, writer and Italian playwright in theater, film and television. He is known to the Italian public for the role of Augustus De Marinis in Camera Café. Initially he worked as a draftsman in the Turin automaker Lancia from 1971 to 1980 before resigning and take his acting career full time. Very active in theater, Liprandi is also the author of texts for the stage and popular writer of surreal tales, which he calls "the nightmare"; his models are Franz Kafka and Edgar Allan Poe.
