Victoria Hopper was a popular film and stage actress who appeared in a dozen films between 1933 and 1948. She was a protégé of the director and producer Basil Dean and led a long stage career. Amongst the highlights of her screen career were the leading role in Lorna Doone (1934) and Laburnum Grove (1936). She died in January 2007 aged 97.
