Tammy Hyler's career path took a few creative turns before leading her to Nashville. After graduating from high school in her hometown of Mesa, Arizona, Hyler moved to Los Angeles to attend college at the Fashion Institute Of Design Merchandising to pursue her love of fashion but soon, her musical creative side took over. She left FIDM after 1 year and a half, and got a day job instead, working at the most successful talent agency in the world, CAA. By day, Hyler learned from the inside, all about the film and TV industry, and by night, she moonlighted performing country music with the band she formed, Tammy Hyler and Full House. Her day gig at the front desk at CAA, working under 2 of Hollywoods biggest moguls, Michael Ovitz and Ron Meyer, soon landed her the job as assistant to another one of Hollywoods biggest moguls, Jeffrey Katzenburg, head of Disney Studios/Touchstone Pictures, and one of the famed founders of DreamWorks. "I spent thirteen years in L.A. working in the film industry by day and making music at night, but the last five I was super focused on my music. In L.A. it wasn't easy to be a country artist, there were a few of us like me, Jeffrey Steele, and Boy Howdy, but then Garth hit, and all of a sudden, country was all the rage! My band and I were booked everywhere, The Palomino, The Central (now The Viper Room), Marix on Sunset, The Trubador, even The Roxbury on Sunset." I'd be on stage playing my set and celebrities like Sylvestor Stallone, Rob Lowe, Emillio Esteves and Demi Moore, and Sting would come watch me play. Eventually, Nashville's pull was too strong to resist, and in 1993, Tammy packed up and moved to the Music City. Before long, Hyler's songs were being recorded by many of country music's heavyweights. Her first #1 came with Collin Raye's "I Can Still Feel You" and was soon followed by another #1, Martina McBride's "I Love You," which ended up becoming Martina's biggest radio hit of her career. The song spent five weeks at the top of the charts and was featured in the Julia Roberts movie, Runaway Bride. Throughout her time in Nashville, Tammy has amassed an amazing catalog of hits and other recordings from Journey, George Strait, Shania Twain, Julio Iglesias, Jr., Pam Tillis...and additional recordings by Martina McBride and Collin Raye, just to name a few. During Tammy's twenty-plus years in Nashville, she has been signed to staff-writer deals with the world's largest publishing company, Sony ATV, along with independent publishers Little Big Town, Godfather Rich Muzik (owned by country music and tv star, John Rich) and Skyline Music (owned by Paul Worley, producer of Dixie Chicks, Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride and many more). Hyler's songs have been in 100's of television shows and several major motion pictures including Run Away Bride, and the Rene Zellweger, Harry Connick Jr. movie, New In Town. In 2010, Hyler also helped form start-up record label Big Country Records, and is currently label manager and staff songwriter/producer at another independent record label Melody Roundup Music. In 2013, Hyler produced her first motion picture, Like A Country Song, starring Billy Ray Cyrus ("Achy Breaky Heart" and the tv show, Hannah Montana), Joel Smallbone (lead singer of Christian rock band For King and Country) and Boo Boo Stewart (Twilight saga Eclipse, Breaking Dawn 1 and 2...and X-Men: Days of Future Past). She also co-wrote and co-produced 9 of the movie's songs, including the radio single and title track by Billy Ray Cyrus...and spearheaded the formation of the movie's soundtrack. Hyler also associate produced Christmas movie, Evergreen, starring Robert Loggia, Naomi Judd, and Greer Grammer, and in 2015 Hyler associate produced the much anticipated film I'm Not Ashamed, the true story of Rachel Joy Scott, the first victim of the 1999 Columbine high school shootings, being released by PureFlix September 9th 2016. Hyler is currently writing the title song, and scoring a documentary on the issue of teen homelessness in America called Lost In America the Weinstein Company has picked up for distribution late 2016. Overall, Tammy Hyler's songs have appeared on more than 25 Million albums sold worldwide, and have brought in more than $13 Million in earnings to herself, her co-writers and music publishers. She has received numerous ASCAP awards and was recently nominated for a Dove award
