"Wolverine has been a huge part of my life for almost two decades, and it's a role that I’ve always been very proud of. It’s been a journey of growth and transformation for me as an actor." Hugh Jackman is renowned for his versatility as an actor, dancer, and singer. He gained fame for his role as Wolverine in 11 Marvel films, starting with X-Men (2000). Jackman's early career saw him debut as King Arthur in Camelot at age five and later pursue formal acting training at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He first gained recognition in TV with Correlli (1995) and made a significant stage debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard. His stage success continued with a notable performance in Oklahoma! at London’s Royal National Theatre. Jackman made his Hollywood breakthrough with X-Men and demonstrated his range in romantic comedies like Someone Like You and Kate & Leopold. His Broadway debut in The Boy from Oz earned him a Tony Award, and he continued to star in productions such as A Steady Rain, The River, and The Music Man. He has appeared in a variety of films including The Prestige (2006), Australia (2008), Les Misérables (2012), for which he won a Golden Globe, and Logan (2017). Jackman also starred in The Greatest Showman (2017), The Front Runner (2018), and Bad Education (2019). His recent work includes Reminiscence (2021), The Son (2022), and a return as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). In addition to his acting career, Jackman has hosted the Tony Awards multiple times and toured with a successful one-man show. He received a special Tony Award in 2012 and was named a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2019.
