Charlie's debut in the movies was sudden and unexpected. Having been contacted by the "movie site location" folks for the use of his home in Roches Point, Ontario for the movie FX2 staring Bryan Brown and Brian Dennehy, Charlie asked the producers for an opportunity to be an extra in the film. To his surprise when he showed up as requested one Sunday morning at the film location , he was handed a short script and was told that his request to be an extra had been upgraded to a speaking part. After signing a few documents to join ACTRA - his movie career was launched. His one line that made it into the FX2 movie .... "that's a God damn lie". To this day, he has been patiently waiting for the phone to ring requesting that he join another cast and crew. He's still waiting. Meanwhile, Charlie continues with his business career.
