Torben Skjødt Jensen was born 1958 in Ålborg, studied movies from 1978-1981 at Copenhagen University. Torben Skjødt Jensen had his video-debut at Det Danske Videoværksted in 1983. He cofounded in 1984 the productioncompany ATC and later the productioncompany Englefilm. Torben was one of the pioneers experimenting with video-art in the 80's, and during this period he produced more than 100 musicvideos. In 1986 Torben Skjødt Jensen moved to Copenhagen where he in 1990 had a breakthrough with the dramadocumentary "It's a Blue World" about Danish artist Hans Henrik Lerfeldt, and won first prize at the San Sebastian filmfestival in 1991). After this success with "Its a Blue World" Torben in 1993 got to produce the rock-dokumentary "Som et Strejf", shown in cinemas as well as national TV several times.
