Ulrik Bolt Jørgensen has more than 25 years' experience as exec. producer, responsible for development, finance, production and distribution. He was the driving force behind the establishment of Copenhagen Film Fund as a public/private partnership, investing in major international films shooting in Copenhagen. As Exec. Producer at Arena Film, he is developing multi-million-dollar film- and TV series aimed for a global audience. He graduated from The National Film School of Denmark, Creative Producer '91, from EAVE '94 (EU Audio Visual Entrepreneurs) and was exclusively selected to PolyGram's first internal MBA program Fastlane '97 in Global Entertainment Economics in Los Angeles and London. He founded Arena in 1992 and directed, produced and composed music i.e. for the hit "Nordkaperen" distributed by UIP, and many TVC, shorts and TV programs for TV2/Denmark. He as well produced the award-winning feature "Belma" by Lars Hesselholdt, starring Rade Serbedtzija. From 1998- 2003 Bolt created the vertical integrated production- and distribution company Angel Arena together with IT IT entrepreneur Mogens Glad, where they produced major Scandinavian co-productions such as "Misery Harbour" starring Nicolaj Coster Waldau; "Katjas Adventure" by Lars Hesselholdt; "Leïla" by Oscar winner Gabriel Axel and the Cannes nominated "La Repetition" starring Emanuelle Béart. The distribution arm was handling highly successful films like "Dancer in the dark" by Lars von Trier, "Shake it all about" by Hella Joof, "Run Lola run" by Tom Tylwer and many others. Since 2003 he held a position as Film Commissioner in Copenhagen and since 2008 as well responsible for setting up a Film Investment Fund in the Copenhagen Region, involved in projects as "The Danish Girl" and TV series like "Wallander" starring Kenneth Branagh and "Midsomer Murders" episode The Copenhagen Killings a.o.
