Michael Joy

Michael Joy is an award winning Production Designer. He started his career in Montreal designing theatre, films and TV commercials in both English and in French. He taught at the National Theatre School of Canada from which he graduated and also Concordia University. Best known for designing four seasons of Once Upon A Time he has also designed Tin Man, Joan of Arc and The Assignment. His specialty is challenging Period, Fantasy and Sci Fi films and television reliant on VFX, augmented reality, creatures, and imaginative sets and a couple of comedies thrown in for good measure. His daughter Clara Mary Joy is a London based stylist.
