László Kardos was born on October 8, 1905 in Budapest, Austria-Hungary [now Hungary]. He was a director and writer, known for Sportszerelem (1936), The Man Who Turned to Stone (1957) and Dark Streets of Cairo (1940). He was married to Lenka Pasternak. He died on April 11, 1962 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
