Born outside of Philadelphia, PA Irene Molloy has gone from success on Broadway to making a name for herself in television. While she was a senior in high school, she landed the lead in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "Whistle Down the Wind", which had a limited run in Washington, D.C. Molloy moved to New York City, for which she was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award. Within a year she was in the Broadway play "The Civil War", , and a musical version of "Romeo and Juliet" playing Juliet. She also earned an Outer Critics Circle Nomination for Outstanding Featured Actress for her role in the play "The Civil War". After these successes she moved to Hollywood, and landed the role of Hunter in _"Grosse Pointe"(2000)_ created by Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990) and _"Sex and the City" (1998)_'s Darren Star. In addition to acting, Molloy is a songwriter, and has released 2 EPs of original music. After Grosse Pointe (2000) was canceled, she was picked up by the producers of "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" (2002)_, where she played Wendy, an office receptionist and fixation of Andy Richter. Molloy returned to Philadelphia to immerse herself in songwriting and later starred Off-Broadway in the musical "10 Million Miles" with music by Patty Griffin.
