Ilmari Mänty

"Ilmari Mänty" was actually an assumed name for the legendary Finnish diplomat Ralph Enckell who later became known as an organizer for The Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe. Enckell was born in Helsinki (May 13, 1913) and died there (May 18, 2001). "Varastettu kuolema" (Stolen Death) directed by Nyrki Tapiovaara was the only film Enckell/Mänty ever acted in.
