Steve was born to a poor sharecropper in a cold water 5 floor walk-up, pre-war tenement apartment building in the South Bronx of New York City. Later settling with his family in Eltingville on Staten Island. Steve is a native New Yorker and has at one time of his life lived in each of 'the 5 boro' of NY at some time in his life! as well as Nola, NJ, LA & Miami... Steve got his first taste of acting at P.S.42 in Ms. Burrows 2nd grade class as the Cowardly Lion in "The Wizard Of Oz". Early in his stage career, Steve worked with PEN award winning writer Norman Mailer in his play Strawhead at The Actors Studio in NYC. He also worked with Shelley Winters, Penney Allen, George Rondo & Arthur Penn at The Actors Studio in NYC. Steve also worked with award-winning mentors at the Circle Rep Lab. As a "lab rat" Steve worked with the finest NY actors, writers and directors. Steve has audited MFA classes at New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts Dramatic Writing Program with Gary Garrison, as well as at Columbia University's School of the Arts in New York City, where Steve Nuke came in 2nd place in Columbia University Film Festival to a kid name Brad Pitt! Steve has been in several award winning films: + "79 Parts" in 2016 - Soho Film Fest + "Don Peyote" in 2014 - NY Vision Fest + "Oscillating Garrett" in 2011 - P 21 Film Festival + "Room" in 2005 - Independent Spirit Award... + "Monday Nite Mayhem" in 2002 - SAG Award + "More, No More" in 1999 - P 21 Film Festival + "My life is..." in 1994 - Columbia University Film Festival Steve also worked at the legendary Herbert Berghof Studio in Greenwich Village with Austin Pendleton, Anne Jackson, Geoffrey Owens and with Donna deMatteo at HB Studio where he continues to work and hone his craft with Obie & Tony award winners! Today Steve is a weekly reader in the Naked Angels TAN series. Steve has worked the Northeast Corridor in feature films, television and commercials and continues to do so today. Steve is also a consummate Blues guitarist influenced by: the 3 Kings: Albert, BB & Freddy, Muddy Waters, Elmore James, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, The YardBirds, Led Zeppelin, Derek & The Dominoes, The Allman Bros, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jeff Beck, Django Reinhart, Charlie Christian, Herb Ellis, Goerge Benson, Jerry Jemmott, Jaco Pastoris, Joe Walsh & The Eagles, Kenny Wayne Shepard Johnny Winter, Eric Clapton, Albert Collins & Gary Moore. Steve is in the process of forming a blues/honky-tonk band.
