Screenwriter, Director, and Actor David M. O'Neill's latest written-work, rural thriller "The Stand at Paxton County" stars' Jacqueline Toboni, Chris McDonald, and Michael O'Neill. The film was produced through ESX Productions and was released through the Netflix network. From the strength of The Stand's performance, David was then contracted through ESX in conjunction with Warner Brothers Studio to write his next untitled project which will commence principal photography in the spring of 2021. Working both as a screenwriter, and a feature-director of his own work, David's other produced films also include Five Aces (20th Century), Player 5150 (First Look Studios), Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden, The Longest Season and, Breadwinner Productions of the critically acclaimed Afghanistan drama, The Black Tulip (Snagfilms). The Black Tulip was shot entirely in Kabul Afghanistan and was selected by the Afghanistan Film Commission as its official, 2011 Academy Award entry for Best Foreign Language Film. Also favored in the 83rd Academy Awards as eligible for best original screenplay, Tulip was awarded Pen USA's 2013 prestigious Freedom to Write Award. David spends his time collaborating and partnering with rights holders, capturing, creating, and executing new Intellectual Property and cinematic content. New works include an untitled feature penned for ESX/Warners, the Empress of Heaven, Golf comedy Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden, St. Martin's Press psychological thriller, The Happy Man, Pulitzer Nominated Richard Jessup's action-thriller, Threat - 115 Degrees, and the Vietnam drama, War Junkies Awards Include The Black Tulip - Freedom to Write Award.
