Maurice "Morry" Ogden was born on June 5, 1924 in Oklahoma. His acting and stunt career began in 1949 when was hired as a stuntman for the western film "Border Fence". He worked in many western movies and TV series in the 1950s and 1960s, and frequently served as John Wayne's stunt double, as the two actors shared similar physical characteristics. After his Hollywood years, he settled in Sabinal, Texas and married Frankie Baldwin, to whom he was married until his death. He worked as a restaurateur, construction company owner, and car dealer. M&O Construction, the construction company that he founded in Sabinal, built several well-known buildings in Southwest Texas, including the Brackettville Public Library and the Sabinal Bank. Morry was a proud member of the Stuntmen's Association and Screen Actor's Guild. He died from cancer on June 27, 2000, surrounded by his family.
