In the early 1990's Stefan Lysenko studied acting under the tutelage of Stella Adler in Hollywood California and at the Playhouse West School and Repertory Theater (Meisner technique), in LA Calif. After appearing in a number of New York theater productions during the mid 90's, including "Twilight Cafe" at the EST Theater (1993) and "The Seagull" at the Actors Theater (1993), he returned to Hollywood to start his film career. In the late 90's, he studied "The Method" under the tutelage of Shelley Winters at The Actors Studio and became a director member of The Actors Studio (PD Unit) in 2009, while he also performed in numerous stage productions including the award winning "Broadway Bound" (1995) at the Lonny Chapman Group Repertory Theater in LA Calif. Stefan Lysenko is an actor, director, writer and producer, known for Love Affair (1994), Jane Austen's Mafia (1998) and The Stray (2000). In 1998, he wrote, produced and directed his first (of four) feature-length film(s), "Between Christmas & New Year's", shot in black and white, 16mm film. In 1999, Stefan Lysenko built and owned Bliss Art House Café on N. Vine Street in Hollywood, which attracts writers, artists, singers, poets, and comedians, while it is also used for daily Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Bliss Art House Cafe was featured in the book "Resident Tourist Los Angeles" as being "so damn cool". In 2009, Stefan Lysenko ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in California's 32nd district and came in 10th. Stefan Lysenko is married to Sophie Moine Lysenko and has two children.
