Ms. Mackenzie is LA and NY based writer/director/producer and a former investigative journalist for CNN and ABC. She also held senior level Creative Executive and Development positions at several Los Angeles film and television studios. In 2020, as writer/director/producer she and her company Ascent Media, completed the Rom Com "Tell Me I Love You" a heartfelt, music driven comedy shot in LA and London. The film was was picked up immediately upon completion for worldwide distribution, and is available on Amazon, Sky, iTunes, and others. 'Tell Me I Love You" has also been featured in multiple film festivals in the US and around the world. Before launching her own company, Ms. Mackenzie was a senior creative and development executive at Sony Pictures in Los Angeles where she wrote, developed, set up and/or sold film and television projects to all major studios. She also held an In-House Producing deal at 20th Century Fox with Davis Entertainment, and worked in Paris for Lionsgate/Gaumont on 13 episodes on their long-running hit, supernatural series, "The Highlander." Ms. Mackenzie began her writing career at the Wall Street Journal in New York and then moved to Condé Nast in London. She soon after became an investigative journalist for CNN, CBS and ABC, covering stories across Europe, Africa and Asia, and directing and producing long-form feature documentaries. Born in Hong Kong and a dual US/UK citizen, Ms. Mackenzie is passionate about creating thought-provoking, high production value, commercial entertainment for a global audience. She has several film and television series projects in development with US studios and streamers, set up with larger production companies, and/or co funded by US and European financiers. Fiona received her B.A. from U.C. Berkeley and her Master's Degree from Georgetown University's Graduate School of Foreign Service.
