I once overheard a veteran actor offer some sage advice to a young actor who was lamenting the fact that he was never cast as a leading man. The old character simply said, "You am what you is." Atrocious grammar. Profound philosophy. I gleefully accept that "I am what I is." I'm a 67 year old, bald, chunky character actor, living in South Korea, surviving cancer and extraordinarily happy not only to be acting again, but to be alive.
