Caroline B. Marx broke into the entertainment industry as a costumer on the popular FOX television series, "In Living Color." During the first three seasons of the hit show, she learned character definition with such actors as Jim Carrey, Jaime Foxx and the Wayans Brothers, as well as the use of combining fashion & dance-wear by clothing the 'Fly Girls,' which included Rosie Perez, Carrie Ann Inaba and Jennifer Lopez. In 1996, Marx became the one of the youngest designers to join the ranks of the Costume Designers Guild. She started her career as costume designer with Mike Binder's "The Sex Monster" and Daniel Water's "Happy Campers." Her original designs for "Happy Campers" were featured in Vogue, SPIN and on MTV's "House of Style." Marx is responsible for designing all the costumes that appeared in Disney's blockbuster "High School Musical 3: Senior Year." During the promotion of the film her designs were featured in People Magazine, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Examiner, "Access Hollywood," "Extra!," "Good Morning America," and numerous websites including Teenvogue.com & MSN.com, among many other outlets. In addition, Marx was interviewed by 'E!' and 'Hollywood Green' because of her original Eco-friendly message t-shirts and use of only sustainable clothing on Corbin Bleu's character. Many of Marx's costumes for HSM3 continue to travel around the world with several on permanent display in the Hollywood Museum and on Zac Efron's wax figure at Madame Tussaud's in London, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. For the small screen, Marx has created the 'look' for numerous premium cable and network television series, including the award-winning "Gilmore Girls" for Warner Brothers, HBO's first sitcom "Lucky Louie", "ZOO" for CBS and "Queen Sugar" for OWN. Marx just finished the worldwide blockbuster "13 Reasons Why" for Netflix. This original series was created by Pulitzer Prize-winning Brian Yorkey, based on the New York Times #1 bestseller by Jay Asher and produced by Paramount/Anonymous Content. With her edgy style, Marx both created and has continued innovating fashion trends for three seasons on the award winning drama starring Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford and Kate Walsh. Currently, Marx is working on Showtime's ten episode limited series "Your Honor." Bryan Cranston stars in the legal thriller playing "a respected judge whose son is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices." BAFTA-winning writer Peter Moffat is the showrunner, Liz Glotzer, Robert and Michelle King ("Good Wife") are executive producers. The brilliant cast includes Carmen Ejogo, Michael Stuhlbarg, Hope Davis, Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Hunter Doohan. "Your Honor" is produced by CBS and due to be released in 2020. She and her team both manufactured and collaborated with several CDG Award-winning designers to recreate several iconic characters (for Ms Walsh) from "Glenda the Good Witch" (Wizard of Oz,) Glenn Close's "Alex" (Fatal Attraction,) Sally Field's ("Norma Rae,") Rosie Perez' "Tina" (Do the Right Thing,) Penélope Cruz' "Donatella Versace" (Versace/American Crime Story,) to "Dr Addison Montgomery" Kate Walsh' own character (Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.)
