Jeanne Mas is regarded as one of the most important and talented artists in France. She was the first woman to perform in the famous hall of Paris Bercy and the first woman to receive the awards of Best new artist and best female singer in 'Les Victoires de la Musique' (the equivalent of the Grammys in France). She sold millions of records in France: her famous songs En rouge et Noir', 'Johnny, Johnny' or 'Toute Premiere fois' are well known and have many times been adapted in English by Foreign artists. She writes all her lyrics, and worked with Italian and French composers such as Daniel Balavoine and Michel Berger. Mas is also an actress. She started her acting career at seventeen in Italy where she appeared in numerous TV spots and films. She recently appeared in several french series such as 'Malone' and 'L'Instit'. She speaks fluent French, Italian, Spanish and English.
