Mad Matthewz

Writer and director Mad Matthewz received his BFA degree in film from Purchase College and has directed three short films: Groupie, The Lush Life, and Big Bank Take Little Bank which was a short film selection at the 2001 Acapulco Black Film Festival. The National Black Programming Consortium awarded Matthewz's first film Groupie with a Special Merit Award. The multi-talented Matthewz has also written three full length screenplays--Section 8, The Talented Tenth, and Men Without Jobs, demonstrating that he is poised to become a major force in filmmaking in the twenty-first century.
