Director/Producer/Writer Michael J. McKay, is best known for directing, co-writing and co-producing "Lake Effects," starring Scottie Thompson, Madeline Zima, Jane Seymour, Casper Van Dien, with Ben Savage and Sean Patrick Flanery. Fluent in German, Mike also speaks Russian, some French, Spanish, Italian, and Arabic, and is an expert in over 30 dialects, studying in Robert Easton's Master Class for 15 years, with Eliza Jane Schneider. Subtle and unpredictable on film, Michael J. McKay has a tremendous weapon of a voice on stage, able to knife through and command attention of any audience. Emcee/Host/Performer for 20 years of improv with Killer Entertainment, Artistry Matters, and Creative Motion Entertainment, Mike honed his comedic delivery over thousands of shows, customized by Mike's research and writing to be truly one-of-a-kind. Roles on stage range from the lead (Gregor Samsa) in Metamorphosis, garnering rave reviews, to Sweeney Todd. Key roles include guest starring as Russian Commander Petavich on JAG, Guest Star as T. Rex on Drake and Josh, an injured Russian soldier on Alias (Ice), and over 100 appearances as a police officer on General Hospital and Port Charles. Mike graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in English, and served 4 years as a Cavalry officer, in Mannheim, Germany. A member of the Kiwanis Club of Fullerton since 1993, Michael J. McKay served twice as Club President, 7 years as Club Secretary, and Lt. Governor in 2007 (working with 13 local clubs). Kiwanis is a worldwide organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
