Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, actor-musician Philip McQuillan marked his American television debut on December 3, 2000 playing the title role in, _In His Life: The John Lennon Story (2000)_ for NBC. After an extensive talent search, he won the role of John Lennon and worked with such experienced veterans as actress Blair Brown, director 'David Carson', and producer and Emmy-nominated screenwriter,'Michael O'Hara'. Philip is a former student of the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin and has performed in showcases, such as "A Streetcar Named Desire," "Grease," and "Backbeat." In addition to acting, Philip is also an accomplished musician. At the age of 9, he began his singing career and has studied guitar, bass, and piano for over 14 years. He has since used these talents while performing with the Irish band, Sundogs. Although he left the band to concentrate on his acting career, he continues to write and perform in his spare time.
