Wendy Bryan Michaels is an actress and writer who has a long history of playing quirky characters from a twenty-five-year career on stage, but some appearances you might have caught on film are "I Love You Phillip Morris" with Jim Carrey, "Bachelor Party 2" alongside Harland Williams & Greg Pitts, and the director's cut "funniest scene in the movie" role in "Sex Drive" with James Marsden, Clark Duke, & Josh Zuckerman. She is co-creator/writer and series regular in the ½ hour comedy show, "My Sister Is So Gay" alongside Loni Anderson (as her mother) Debra Wilson and Tilky Jones. Michaels created the quirky character Amanda in the show, who arrives on her gay brother's doorstep for the first time in 20 years after catching her husband having an affair with her best volley-ball partner/friend, Katherine. The show originally aired as a web series on Tello Films and was nominated for 7 LAWEBFEST 2016 awards, with the show taking home two of the awards. Ms. Bryan Michaels is an award-winning actress for her role as Anne in "Last Summer at Bluefish Cove" by Jane Chambers, one of the foremost lesbian dramatists of the 20th century and nominated for Best Actress in the role of Becca in the Pulitzer prize winning play "Rabbit Hole." Nominations for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress earned her a Carbonell award which are among the nation's senior regional arts awards in theatre. Ms. Bryan Michaels was thrilled to have her first full-length play, "God and Sex", premiere at the Santa Monica Playhouse in 2017, to great reviews and an extension of 4 weeks. A favorite theatre of hers after she made her debut as a stage actress in the Los Angeles area during the nineties. "Loving Mathew", her second play is published through Smith Scripts. Ms. Bryan Michaels is a member of The Dramatist Guild and is active in both The Los Angeles Female Playwright Initiative + The Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights + a Writer-in-residence at Artist Workout Studio Theatre in Los Angeles.
