Tom is an American actor, singer and filmmaker, known for his portrayals of legendary and often tortured characters. Born in Warren, Pennsylvania, Tom developed his chops as a rock singer and songwriter with his band at local YWCA talent shows. All the while, Tom and his friends produced countless gory horror shorts with a VHS camcorder. Mr. Mesmer went to film school at Point Park University in Pittsburgh PA and received the prestigious Emerging Artist Grant for his short film "Delilah". Toward the end of college, Tom began playing leading roles on stage in local productions of "Summer And Smoke", "The Dining Room", and "Godspell", and an acting career had begun. On the regional stage as an Equity actor, Tom has won acclaim portraying country music icon Hank Williams in "Lost Highway" and he continues to play Hank's tunes and other folk and blues standards regularly as a solo performer. Other favorite characters are the title roles in "Dracula", "Sweeney Todd", and "Jesus Christ Superstar" among many others. He continues to work regularly on stage and screen while developing his film company; Soho Vamp Films. As the songwriter, guitarist and singer for the glam-rock trio Soho Vamp from 2002-2007, Mesmer's compositions can be heard in the films "Red Eye", "The Breed", and "Day Of The Dead", as well as the TV show "My Name Is Earl".
