Jack Messitt is an award winning Cameraman, Screenwriter and Director. A veteran cameraman on shows such as Scandal, Blackish and Bones, Jack is the A-Camera Operator on ABC's Mixedish. A seasoned screenwriter, Jack's work has been seen across the globe with Hwuai Brothers' thriller Control, TF1 produced thriller Trust, and Bigfoot Entertainment's award winning horror film Midnight Movie - Jack's directorial debut. ----- Since graduating from the American Film Institute, his work as a Director of Photography and Camera Operator includes hundreds of hours of television including ABC's Scandal, Blackish and Mixedish, NBC's The Event, Fox's Bones and American Idol. His DP credits include the feature films Irreversi, Girl With No Number and The Curiosity of Chance. His international experience has brought him to Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Belgium, Canada, Philippines and throughout the United States. Messitt is a former 1st Vice President of the Society of Camera Operators and editor of Camera Operator magazine. Messitt's screenplay Remote Control was produced by China's Huayi Brothers Media. Translated into Chinese and re-titled Control, the thriller was directed by critically acclaimed director Kenneth Bi (The Drummer, Girl$) and starred Daniel Wu, Chen Yao, Ady An and Simon Yam. His screenplay Trust was produced by TF1 International. The thriller starring Jamie Luner (Melrose Place, All My Children) has shown on Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network, Movie Central and the numerous TF1 networks throughout international markets. Messitt made his feature film directorial debut with Midnight Movie. After winning Best Feature Film at the Chicago Horror Film Festival, it had a successful limited theatrical run in the fall of 2008. Distributed by Phase 4 Films, the Midnight Movie DVD sold extremely well, followed by a strong Blu-Ray release. It aired extensively on Showtime & The Movie Channel and is on Chiller TV.
