The owner, Acting Coach/Teacher and Creative Director of Inside The Fourth Wall in Los Angeles and professional actor, P. David Miller, was born and raised in the very mean streets (The Mission District) of beautiful and culturally diversified San Francisco. He started acting when he was 15 at The Everyman Theatre, a Shakespearean repertory company in San Francisco, California. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1981 and saw the world in all its glory, its wonders, the occasional horror, and all its splendor. His last MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician with a Senior rating. He discharged from the United States Marine Corps in 1998. He came to Los Angeles/Hollywood in 1998 to pursue a career in Live Action/Physical Special Effects right after serving 16-years in the Marine Corps not really knowing anyone in the business. He started his special effects career at Special Effects Unlimited, Inc. and worked his way up to the shop foreman position as well as lead-man before leaving the company in 2002 to work freelance. He went on to work on over 350 projects. After working on many sets and remembering the joys and thrills of acting when he was a teenager, he fell into becoming an actor again. After three and one-half years of constant training, classes, workshops, weekend intensives, seminars, and reading volumes of assorted books pertaining to "The Craft" he started to venture out into the unknown territories of Hollywood. He still trains to this day with various acting teachers in Los Angeles. Since July 2003, he has been in over 150 productions as an Actor that has encompassed theatre, feature films, independent films, short films, television, commercials, web series, print, and voice over. Through his experience in the United States Marine Corps and training in martial arts, he is also very capable as a utility stunt performer, fight choreographer, stunt coordinator, 2nd unit director and technical adviser for weapons and military tactics/protocol. With all his experiences he was tapped to direct his first film, 'Taught In Cold Blood' in 2010 by Continuum Pictures. On April 1st, 2017, he and his wife, Jennifer Harper Miller, created and opened The ActorHood - Atlanta. The namesake to The ActorHood Theatre Company in Los Angeles. The creation of The ActorHood - Atlanta was intended to help actors realize their creative potential based on a more traditional approach to the craft of acting from the teachings of Stanislavski, Meisner, Chekhov, Strasburg, Hagen, Adler, Suzuki, and Alexander. The ActorHood - Atlanta closed its doors in June 2018 for the move back to Los Angeles. He continues teaching and coaching actors with private coaching through Inside The Fourth Wall in Los Angeles. P. David's real-world experiences above and below-the-line in the business of entertainment brings practical and in-depth knowledge not only to the craft of acting but also to the entertainment industry and its ever-changing dynamics.
