Award winning sportscaster Tim Ring made his film debut in the 1996 production of "Reggie's Prayer". Ring was on assignment covering the making of the movie in Portland, Oregon when director Paul McKellips decided to cast him in the actual movie. Ring, not surprisingly, played a reporter. Born in Chicago, Ring has always had an affection for sports. While attending DePaul University in 1989, Ring took a job as a sports producer at WGN Television. Five years at WGN taught Ring the business but acting on a long-standing desire to be on the other side of the camera, Ring headed north to Green Bay, Wisconsin in March of 1994 to begin his on-air career. In 1999 Ring headed for the beaches of Miami. Hired by WAMI Television and its South Beach based studios, Ring served as a broadcaster for the Miami Heat and the Florida Marlins. In 2001, Ring became the main sports anchor for FSN in Denver, Colorado where he worked until 2009. In May 2009, Ring was hired as Sports Director at KTVK-TV in Phoenix, Arizona.
