Mike Robelo was born on August 16, 1928 in Spanish Harlem in Manhattan, New York, as Michelangelo Robelo. Norberto Robelo and Concepcion Ruiz Figueroa were his parents. He attended Patrick Henry Junior High School. He is an actor, who studied acting under Brett Warren, Stella Adler, Herbert Berghof and Morris Carnovsky. His first roles were at local playhouses in Greenwich Village, and on live network television during the 1950's. He's known for The Discoverers (1993), ¡Viva Vegas! (2000) and Deadline for Murder: From the Files of Edna Buchanan (1995) and other numerous television and film roles. He also appeared in the following theatrical productions: Macbeth at the Hollywood Globe, Fatty at the Tiffany Playhouse, Big Apple Messenger at the Mark Taper Lab, Deer Park at the Century Club Playhouse and performed the role of Juan Otero in Miguel Pinero's Short Eyes at the LAAT - Westwood Playhouse. He also did many play readings at Miram Colon's Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre in New York. He has a wife Alejandra Robelo of forty years, and daughters Lisa, Linda, Carol, Gilda and is a grandfather.
