Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Esteban joined the U.S. Marine Core as a teenager and served as a Military Police officer. He fought in battle in the Korean War. He eventually came back home and married his long life love Delia (Rodriguez). They would eventually have three daughters, Betty Jean, Carol and Teresa (Terry). While raising his three daughters, Esteban would go on to join the "I.B.H. of Teamsters". It was here where he found his calling as a (Texas) state wide truck driver, where he would work within the film industry, as a driver. With his Marine background, he quickly became a noticeable driver to the production crew and actors. He was well liked and had many opportunities to meet and hang out with well known actors. TV Shows like "The Dukes of Hazzard", and movies like "The Legend of Billie Jean", "8 Seconds" were all part of his driving career. Towards the end of his (Teamsters) driving career, he drove for a movie in 1998 titled "The Newton Boys", starring Matthew McConaughey and Ethan Hawke. It was during this filming that a producer needed a "Native American Chief" to play a small role. Esteban Rodriguez was lucky enough to be asked if he would play this role. Without any hesitation he took the unaccredited role. Little did he know that his small role would be directly involved with Matthew McConaughey and the other supporting cast, as it was the "Native American Chief" who needed to grant the 'Newton Boys' permission.
