Julia Sawalha

Julia Sawalha was born in London. She has received due honor for her acting talents. Starring as Lynda Day in Press Gang winning the BAFTA award for Best Drama series. She played the role of Saffy in Absolutely Fabulous (1992), for which she won the RTS award for Best Actress, Lydia Bennett in the miniseries of Pride and Prejudice (1995) and the role of Dorcas Lane in four seasons of the BBC costume drama Lark Rise To Candleford, for which she was nominated in the RTS awards for Best Actress. She formed and voiced the character Ginger in Aardman's Oscar nominated feature film Chicken Run, which is the highest grossing stop-motion animated film in history. She has completed two projects for mainstream TV due to be broadcast in 2024.
