Sharon Sharth has starred on and off-Broadway and in numerous film and television roles. As a member of the prestigious Circle Repertory Theatre Company, she played May in Sam Shepard's 'Fool For Love', with Will Patton, and went on to originate other lead roles for such playwrights as Lanford Wilson, John Bishop, and Caroline Kava, among others. At additional theatres, she also originated roles for such contemporary writers as John Pielmeier and Shirley Lauro, and for Ray Bradbury in the world stage premiere of 'Fahrenheit 451'. She has performed under the direction of Marshall W. Mason, Amy Saltz, Don Scardino, Julie Hebert, Steven Robman, and Randal Myler, starring in productions at Circle Rep, Manhattan Theatre Club, the Mark Taper Forum, the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, Actors Theatre of Louisville Humana Festival, Yale Rep, and the Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference, as well as touring internationally. She is a lifetime member of Actors Studio. Sharth is also an award-winning author for children, having written sixteen books for various publishers. She won the Young Adult Fiction Award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators for 'Wild Mind', a novel about teen suicide. She has been published in literary journals and has written many articles for aspiring writers, as well as being a regular speaker at schools, libraries, and author fairs. She has won awards for her plays, including 'Waiting for Grace', in which she starred.
