Her artistic name means "The Girl of the [Ornamental] Combs". She officially debuted in 1910. In the 20s she became one of the most important flamenco gypsy singers and did some tours all over Spain. In this decade she formed a sentimental and artistic couple with Manuel Escacena, but finally she marries another famous singer, Pepe Pinto, in 1933 (Pinto died a few months before "The Girl"). Unfortunately in the 40s her popularity begins to decline and finally she retired in 1950.
