After studying communications and filmmaking at Montreal University, Piché began his career as a cinematographer for Montreal television working on documentaries. With his focus on becoming a director, he used the money he earned as a Director of Photography to shoot videos for local bands in Montreal for free. That investment paid off when he began working full time shooting clips. His success soon caught the attention of Toronto based Avion Films and Cinelande, Montreal, where he is represented for spots in Canada. With a desire to further expand his creative palette to include feature films, Piché again decided to do it himself. Using his own money, he shot a short film called 'Combustion', which won the award for best short Film at the 1995 Belgium Film Festival. That effort also paid dividends when Piché was tapped to direct the soon-to-be-released sci-fi action film, 'The Minion', starring Dolph Lundgren. Recently, he also received the Gold Award for Best Advertising Direction from the Gala du Publicité Club de Montréal for his Molson Dry spot. All of Piché's success in Canada has now attracted the attention of the US advertising community. Piché has joined Conspiracy, a national television commercial production company. Piché feels the challenge will be an inspiration giving him the opportunity to prove his talents yet again.
