Claude Pinoteau was born on May 25, 1925 in Boulogne-Billancourt, Seine [now Hauts-de-Seine], France. He was an assistant director and writer, known for La 7ème cible (1984), The Slap (1974) and L'homme en colère (1979). He was married to Birte Pedersen and Margaret Mordaunt-Léonard.
