Mr. Portlock holds a BA in Economics and Business from Lafayette College. He is a Sundance writer/director for the 1996 short film selection, "The Spartans". In 2001 Mr. Portlock wrote and directed the feature film, "The Gristle", which was picked up in 2003 by HBO, Starz, Cinemax, and Warner Brothers Home Video. In 2007, along with producer, Darus Richmond, Mr. Portlock wrote and directed the action short, "The Sheriff of Babylon and, as a screenwriter Mr. Portlock was #1 on the 2010 Bloodlist for the horror/sci-fi script, "Dark Continent". As a novelist Mr. Portlock wrote the sci-fi/horror/fantasy short story collection, "Polaris 10 Short Stories", and published it on Amazon in 2013. He also wrote the sci-fi/dystopian novel, "Be Nice", and published it on Amazon in 2017.
