Louise Prussing, a Chicago native, was a trained dancer and her dancing paved the way for her later stage successes in both the United States and England. In London, she was in Thomas Hardy's "The Mayor of Casterbridge", and her other stage appearances came in "Berkeley Square", "Counsellor At Law" and "Before Morning". While she had worked in several Eugene O'Brien silent films, her first sound-era film was "Before Morning" in which she played "Mrs. Nichols", the role she had played on Broadway.
