Byron Quiros is a Costa Rican American actor, director and choreographer from Los Angeles, California. He discovered his passion for performance at the age of seven through dance. A graduate of UC-Irvine's top-ranked drama program, Byron has enjoyed success in film, television, and stage. He most recently starred in the short films Jane Love, winner of Best Horror Short Film at the 2018 IFS Film Festival, and Hot Seat, an official selection of the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and a Vimeo Staff Pick Premiere. Byron starred alongside Jeremy Sisto, Jeffrey Nordling, and Carmen Argenziano in the Tony Award-winning Broadway play Take Me Out. His performances in the films Coronado with John Rhys-Davies, Yes, And..., Set It Off, and Hard Pill with Jonathan Slavin received international praise. He has guest starred on television programs such as JAG, Medium, and CSI: Miami. Byron was honored with the Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Best Actor Award for his performance of the poem "Samuel Gardner" from Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology. He also received their Honorable Mention for his performance in the play Short Eyes. Byron utilized his classical Shakespearean training as Lysander in an East Los Angeles Classic Theater production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. After a successful run at the John Anson Ford Theatre, the production toured local schools in which students lacked opportunities to experience live theater. This work remains a passion for Byron, whose early experiences in the performing arts helped him overcome the adversity he faced growing up in an inner-city environment. As a dancer and choreographer, Byron was mentored by Donald McKayle and Bernard Johnson, and has worked with a variety of artists including Grammy winners Usher and Ana Barbara, Sheila E., and Craig David. He is the creator of one of the hottest dance workouts in Los Angeles, Red Relevé, a fusion of ballet and modern burlesque.
