Hayward, California natives the Quiroz Bros., Jose and Eduardo, co-founded the rap group Darkroom Familia, becoming the first Latino rappers out of Northern California. They went on to direct over a dozen music videos for their rap group. In the mid-90s, they produced two graffiti art documentaries (Aerosol Warriors 1 &2) which were featured in an exhibit at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art. Afterward, using profits from their highly successful rap label, they financed and founded their film production company Pumpkin Patch Pictures and turned their love of storytelling into the world of filmmaking. Their first two titles; comedy "Paper Napkins" and urban-action "Penitentiary Chances" were accepted and featured at the San Antonio International Film Festival and SXSW-Alt in the late 90s. From 16mm film to high-definition, the writing/directing/producing team have since released over two dozen titles worldwide at Blockbuster Video, Hollywood Video, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Amazon, Netflix, Tubi, Vudu, iTunes, Google Play, PPV and VOD. They've written everything from dramas to comedies to action and horror. The indie-filmmaking duo are constantly writing and have several screenplays making the rounds in Hollywood. The brothers' creative passion led them to write their first novel "For They Have Sinned," a suspenseful story about a gruesome serial killer on the loose in the streets of San Francisco. Using their "backyard" of the Bay Area as the backdrop.
